Locking right-angle IEC mains plug fits in tight spaces

Schaffner-locking-IEC-mains-connector

Part of the firm’s IL13 family “due to its angled construction the connector can be used with devices standing next to a wall or in table-top applications”, said the firm. “All types are usable with any standard IEC C14 inlet, locking without any additional mechanics.”

It comes in four orientations to comfortably mate with top, down, left or right orientations of the mating part with its chassis.

Pull-out force is typically 200N, increasing the reliability of connections, even in appliances that are vulnerable to vibrations.

There are a variety of moulded cable-connector combinations, plus a re-wireable connector for custom cabling – the re0wireable connector comes in just two versions: vertical and horizontal.

Cords and connectors have UL CSA, PSE, Kema Keur, PSE and SAA safety approvals, and are compatible with the RoHS II (2015/863) directive and offer low-smoke zero-halogen (LSZH).
